Our DC Ridwan participated in the event organized by the University of Pavia on 25 September 2026 for the European Researchers’ Night 2026
The Researchers’ Night held at the University of Pavia, in the heart of the city center, featured more than 80 stands spanning all the scientific disciplines and was visited by more than 2.500 people.
Alongside other young researchers, Ridwan joined the stand of the Seed Molecular Physiology Lab and Plant Biotechnology Lab. Young children played and learned how seeds can help fight climate change through funny tales describing the adventures of the Super-Seeds. The event was a great success!

Ridwan’s participation in this outreach event reflects our students’ commitment to sharing their scientific knowledge with the general public. It was also a valuable opportunity to present the HeatDDR project and raise its visibility beyond the academic community.
Acknowledgements: we thank for their dedication the team of young researchers who took part to this science outreach action with Ridwan: Nicola Bosco, Nicolò Bedotto and Jacopo Allevi.
The European Researchers’ Night is a public event that brings research and researchers closer to society. Held every year in autumn, it invites people of all ages to go behind the scenes of universities and research institutes, meet researchers, and experience science up close through fun, inspiring and interactive activities, with a particular focus on families, pupils, students, and groups with fewer opportunities to engage with science.
